Weekly Table Setting: Spring Has Sprung
Things are looking a whole lot different around here this week, with temps in the mid-40's to low-50's, and only mere traces of snow still left on the ground. It's a wonderful time, the emergence of spring, and we're looking forward to the days of outdoor entertaining, late sunsets, and colorful tablescapes. This week's table setting is full of warm colors that'll evoke happy springtime sensations with just a quick glance. We're showcasing Jars Ceramics, a dinnerware brand that features lots of bright, vibrant colors, perfect for spring and summer entertaining. Especially in these days when we're leaving the cold behind and moving into warmer weather, these pieces bring a sense of joy and light not only to your table setting, but to your entire living space.
Also contributing to this joyful setting were the Chilewich Mini Basketweave Rectangular Placemats, in Bloom, a lovely fuschia color. The linen napkins were Libeco Home Tribeca Napkins in Honey, a more subtle but still warm hue.
The dinnerware came from both Jars Ceramics and Pillivuyt Porcelain collections. The larger plate was a Pillivuyt Plissé Plate 10", the smaller plate a Jars Ceramics Touron Dessert Plate in Avocado, and the bowl a Pillivuyt Sancerre Petite Salad Bowl. This setting is a wonderful example of how well different brands and collections can be paired together to create a cohesive and stunning setting.
The flatware was from the David Mellor Cafe Collection, a 4 piece stainless steel setting, and the glassware from the Simon Pearce Barre collection. We included both the Simon Pearce Barre Goblet and the Simon Pearce Barre White Wine Glass.
We also had a couple of other Simon Pearce pieces on the table, including the Simon Pearce Addison Pitcher and the Simon Pearce Addison Carafe. As the weather heats up, these are the perfect vehicles for your favorite springtime beverages.
To the side, we featured a small serving set, well suited for this in between season where it's not too cold, but not yet hot either. The pieces were set on a Jars Ceramics Tourron Rectangular Dish in Avocado, and included Pillivuyt Eden Breakfast Coffee Cups with Sabre Old Fashioned Teaspoons in Pink and a Pillivuyt Sancerre Milk Server. Perfect for coffee and/or tea service!
To round it all out, we included a Jars Ceramics Ipso Vase also in Avocado.
What are you most looking forward to about the impending spring season?
