Weekly Table Setting: A Midseason Harvest
Last weekend, we had the pleasure of hosting an off-site Dinner Series event at my family's home. It was a fun change of scenery, we were able to get some great product shots, and we hosted a fantastic event with delicious food and a beautiful harvest table!
Alex, our Visual Merchandiser, aimed to created an autumnal table setting, without it feeling too much like a Thanksgiving tablescape. She used a lot of earth tones to keep the feel of autumn alive, but mixed in less traditional flowers and mis-matched table accoutrements. We added pumpkins last minute for a bit of added flair, but when time came to seat the guests, we placed blue-thistle name tags at each setting.
For the base of each table setting, we layered a couple of different placemats, to give the table a more dressed up feel, and an interesting look. To start, each setting had a Libeco Home Flanders Placemat , with a Chilewich Dahlia Placemat in Brass over it. Under the plates sat a Libeco Home Vence Linen Napkin in Old Rose, which was draped lengthwise instead of folded up next to the dinnerware.
To start, we used a Simon Pearce Woodbury Round Dinner Plate in Moss, followed by a Empreinte Dessert Plate Gomme in White and a Simon Pearce Royalton Appetizer Plate Baroque to finish it off.
Continuing on with the trend of a Simon Pearce-heavy setting, we used two glasses from them as well, the Simon Pearce Woodstock Tumbler for water, and and the Simon Pearce Hartland Wine Glass as an all-purpose wine glass.

The center display featured a mix of different vases, including the iittala Dewdrop Footed Bowl in Forest Green, the Heath Ceramics Bud Vase in Olive, and the Simon Pearce Chelsea Optic Bud Vase. These held a variety of very unique and interesting greenery, including succulents and blue thistle.
We also included a trio of Simon Pearce Hartland Candlesticks in the center of the table.
