What says summer more than a margarita? Laura raised the bar by turning it into a martini for a >Dinner 4: Summer Chill.

Margarita Martini Serves 12

  • 1 1/2 ounces tequila
  • 1 1/2 ounces fresh lime juice
  • 1 ounce simple syrup
  • Salt, for the glass (optional)
  • Fresh mint, for garnish

Directions Combine the tequila, lime juice and simple syrup in a cocktail shaker with ice. (To make a batch of simple syrup, simmer equal parts sugar and water in a saucepan until the sugar dissolves, then cool.) Shake well, then strain into a chilled martini glass; salt the rim, if desired. Garnish with mint.
