Table Setting of the Week: Featuring Jars Ceramics
I think what I love about this setting is how easily it can transition from breakfast to dinner. The creamy white glaze and simple design of the Jars Maguelone dinnerware is the key. Touches of color in the accessories, however, keep things interesting for dinner.
To achieve this look, Melissa starts with 2 Chilewich Bamboo table runners in camel. The table runners function both as table runner and table mat. Then comes the Jars Ceramics Maguelone rectangular dinner plate in white and Jars Ceramics Maguelone Deep Bowl Small in white. These can be used as cereal or fruit salad
bowls for breakfast or as soup or salad bowls for dinner, depending on what meal you set this table for. We have it set for breakfast with the tea service included as the center piece, but the table setting as a whole transitions easily form morning to night by replacing the tea service with candles or flowers.
The dinner plate and bowl is separated by the Libeco Polylin Blend Napkin in apricot. Each place setting is finished off with David Mellor Odeon Stainless Steel 5 piece Place Setting, Jars Ceramics Maguelone
Tumbler in grey, which is more of a blue-grey than a true grey, and great for orange juice or after supper espresso, and Jars Ceramics Plume Tea Cup and Saucer in white.
The Jars Ceramics Plume Tea Cup and Saucer in white have gorgeous scallop details on the rim of the cup, the saucerand the handle! This adds a bit of softness to the otherwise crisp straight lines of the Jars Maguelone and Jars Vuelta.
Melissa chose the Jars Ceramics Vuelta tea pot, creamer, and sugar pot all in sky grey. The exterior is a simple matte white glaze with an accenting shiny blue/grey on the lids and inside of the creamer. The color echos the blue grey of the Jars Ceramics Maguelone tumblers tying the place settings to the center pieces.
Flanking the coffee or tea servers are the Jars Ceramics Maguelone rectangular dishes in white. On one side of the table is the Heath Ceramics Large Serving Bowl in Persimmon/French Grey that has a
gorgeous orange-tone glaze on the inside, which ties the apricot napkins to the center of the table and on the other side of the table is the Heath Ceramics deep serving bowl in mist/linen that seems to be the Heath Ceramics take on the Jars Vuelta sky/grey.
