Table Setting of the Week: Featuring Heath Coupe and Jars Tourron

For this week's table setting of the week, Melissa was inspired by peaches and blackberries, two late summer fruits.

To achieve this look, start with napkin! Melissa's ingenious use of napkins as blocked "table runner" lets the teak slats of the Barlow Tyrie Arundel extending table peak through between the 3 Libeco Napoli Vintage napkin in brick that echos the blush on peaches.

Then lay down the Chilewich Kono Rectangular Tablemat in dark oak topped with Heath Ceramics Coupe Dinner Plate in cocoa/fawn and Heath Ceramics Coupe Salad Plate in redwood. These create the neutral background that allows the brilliant rich grapey glaze of Jars Ceramics Tourron Fruit Cup in eggplant to gleam.

Melissa placed the simply folded Libeco Brisbane napkin in mustard all toward the center of the table to created a highly symmetrical look, almost like mirror images along the vertical axis. Place the Sabre Djembe 5-piece place setting in jungle with the same idea of reflection in mind, with the dessert fork and tea spoon over the top of the dinner plate.

The seaweed/moss/olive colors on the Sabre Djembe 5-piece place setting in jungle add a balancing color from the purples and browns the same way the Libeco Brisbane napkin in mustard adds lightness and visual interest. The mustard color also echos the yellow base color on peaches.

And finally, finish each place setting with Jars Ceramics Tourron Mug in eggplant

The center of the table is laid with serving platter and additional plates to be used as servers. There is the Heath Ceramics Serving Platter in redwood overlaid and flanked by a duos of Heath Ceramics Coupe Salad Plate in french grey and Heath Ceramics Coupe Bread Plate in redwood.

Towards the end of the table are additional servers: the Jars Ceramics Tourron rectangular dish in eggplant and the J.K. Adams Artisan 13" Server, a Vermont company that makes fabulous and affordable cutting boards. This and other shapes/sizes are in store now.

The table is the completed with Jars Ceramics Tourron Pitcher and the Jars Ceramics Tourron Oil Bottle, both in eggplant.
