Boston Uncommon Setting 6 - Playful formal
This Rutland Square dining room in the South End of Boston has purple walls, green drapery and an ornate gold-trimmed mirror, creating a distinctive and playfully formal look that revels in color. Taking the ball and running with it, we created a setting using purple and green and the fanciful Kosta Boda Chateau line of stemware. The swirl lines in the glassware, that create colorful refractions are a bit hard to photograph, but if you look hard...
On a neutral Chilewich Basketweave tablemat, we layered two different ranges of Jars Ceramics dinnerware in Eggplant and Avocado - Jars Tourron plates and the Jars Nenuphar Fruit Cup. We paired it with the gentle curves and facets of David Mellor Classic flatware and an elegant Vence linen napkin in Taupe by Libeco Home Belgian linen.
