Weekly Table Settings: Faint Floral Tones
What a week it's been here in the Boston area. From our whole team to you and yours, we hope you're safe and sound.
This week's table setting isn't fill of zip or flair, it's understated and welcoming, like a friendly hug on a warm spring evening. The colors are soft and inviting, with faint hints of floral everywhere you look.
Each setting started with a cool blue Chilewich Bamboo Round Placemat in Navy, with a duo of iittala Sarjaton plates including a Salad Plate and a Dinner Plate, both in white. The Sarjaton collection by iittala is their newest introduction, and it's very fun and cheerful, with an interesting mix-matched theme.
On top of the plates, we did something a bit different and set the mug with the bowl. Both are also from the Sarjaton collection, with the Tiki print. The Libeco Home Polylin Blend Napkins in Raspberry added a lovely pop of color, and helped to really define each place setting. The iittala Citterio Flatware collection finished it off, with it's wide lines and matte brushed finish.
The wine glasses we used came from the iittala Essence Plus Wine Glasses, which feature a classic wine glass shape with a slightly flared lip.
We also included an iittala Sarjaton Ashwood Tray, atop which we set iittala Tools Cheese Slicer and a iittala Tools Cheese Knife.
For serving purposes, we used an iittala Sarjaton Serving Bowl in White, with a Sabre Gingham Charm Serving Set in Pink. The serving pieces added more floral tones to the table, and a whimsical feel.
Right in the center of the table, we placed an assortment of iittala Aalto Vases in the new Salmon Pink color, as well as several iittala Vitriini Boxes to round it all out.
Best wishes from the Didriks team.
