It's been a while since we last published one of these posts, but the absence was for a good reason! The holiday season was a blur around here, busy both online and off, so we were a bit preoccupied helping customers and fulfilling orders. Definitely the best kind of busy to be! Fortunately, we made it through the season all in one piece, so we're free to begin our weekly table settings once again. We have some incredible new merchandise coming in this month, but we haven't quite made it out from underneath all of those big boxes just yet, so you'll have to wait a week or two to see it all. I know - the suspense is just killing you! But check back soon, we're fairly confident you'll be as excited as we are when you see what we have to offer!
For now though, feast your eyes on some of these gems here - pieces from some of our best brands, iittala, Sabre, Libeco and Chilewich. Today's setting has a fresh, sleek look - perfect for kicking this new year off right.
The four-place table setting started out with Chilewich Bamboo rectangular placemats in navy, and a Libeco Home Napoli Vintage table runner, also in navy. We picked cool, calm colors - fitting for those of us experiencing the winter blues (no pun intended), but with bright, energetic touches to give it some life and excitement.
Each individual place setting featured iittala Teema dinnerware - both the dinner plate and pasta bowl in Pearl Grey. The napkins were Libeco Home Polylin blend napkins in red, and the flatware came from Sabre - we picked the Tortoise 5-piece place setting. The subtle brown-and-black flatware added a touch of variety to the setting, without taking away from the overall feel.
The minimalist place settings and muted table color were given a nice lift from these red iittala Kartio Thin Tumblers, in both small and large. Paired with the poppy red linen napkins, they helped to elevate the table, and give it plenty of personality. The Teema dinnerware practically jumped off the table, with it's crisp white aesthetic.
We'll be back next week with a completely new and inspired setting, and an exciting surprise! Hope to see you then.
What are you most looking forward to in 2013?
