Weekly Table Setting: Shimmer
This week’s table setting is as icy looking as it feels outside this morning! It’s definitely getting colder here in Cambridge – dare I say, it almost feels like winter is just around the corner! While we’re certainly not ready for the downright cold temperatures, table settings like this are more appropriate for the cooler season, so at least there’s some reason to look forward to it! Today’s table setting features a unique porcelain collection from Pillivuyt. The stark white dinnerware has clean lines and a subtle look, which makes it suitable for just about any table setting. We’ve paired the dinnerware pieces with nicely contrasting deep purple Libeco Home linen napkins, atop silver Chilewich Placemats. The dinnerware is a 5-piece stainless steel setting from David Mellor, and both the glassware and vase come from Simon Pearce.
Each place setting includes a stacked Pillivuyt Porcelain Sancerre 11” Plate with a Pillivuyt Porcelain Sancerre 8 ½” Pasta and Soup Bowl. A Libeco Linen Vence Napkin in grape sites between the dinnerware pieces, and the whole setting is atop a Chilewich Metallic Lace Rectangular Placemat in silver. The place setting is flanked by the David Mellor Embassy Stainless Steel 5 pc setting.
To the top right of the setting sites a duo of Simon Pearce glasses – the Simon Pearce Barre Goblet and the Simon Pearce Barre Red Wine.
To the top left of the setting, a Pillivuyt Porcelain Sancerre 6 ½” Plate.
Additional pieces from Pillivuyt were added to the table for some dimension, including the Pillivuyt Porcelain Sancerre Salt and Pepper Set and the Pillivuyt Covered Butter Tray, American Size.
To round out the table, we used a Simon Pearce Hanover Wine Coaster under a bottle of red wine, and a Simon Pearce Shelburne Vase for the flowers.
