Weekly Table Setting: A Rustic Flair

Inspired by a Dinner Series event we hosted recently where we used pieces from the Simon Pearce Woodbury Collection - we're featuring it here today. To many, Simon Pearce is exclusively a glassware company, crafting some of the most exquisite glass pieces you can find anywhere. What some may not know is that Simon Pearce also makes a few lines of ceramic dinnerware, including this newer Woodbury Collection. The Woodbury pieces come in only two colors - birch and moss - and much like those colors, the pieces have a very earthy look and feel. The dinnerware is rustic while still quietly elegant, and can make a casual dinner setting look a bit dressier but still approachable. The Woodbury dinnerware comes in both square and round shapes, with an air of imperfection that suites them perfectly. Here we have the table set with Simon Pearce glassware - both stemware and tumblers. The placemats are from Chilewich - because what table setting doesn't look better with Chilewich placemats?! - and rounding out the table is a simple dinnerware set from David Mellor, and some understated linen blend napkins from Libeco Home. The whole table setting screams fall to me - like you could bring a big, rustic roast to the table, and tuck in for a long, hearty meal.

For the dinnerware pieces, we have the Simon Pearce Woodbury Round Dinner Plate, set under a Simon Pearce Woodbury Salad Bowl nestled inside a Simon Pearce Woodbury Salad Bowl - all in the moss color.
