Table Setting of the Week: Featuring Jars Tourron

It's getting hot out there! And I'm not complaining. Summer is my favorite season of the year. The sweating, the humidity, the sun burns--I love it all. Days like today are unapologetic, unsubtle, almost unbearble. Almost. It just have been these very things that inspired Melissa at Didriks for this week's Table Setting of the Week. The big, bold reds and yellows of the Jars Tourron dinnerware and Heath Ceramics serving bowls makes me think of habanero cherry peppers, watermelon, the sun.

To create this look, start with Chilewich Basketweave Round Tablemats in Red. Then lay the Jars Ceramics Tourron Dinner Plate and dessert plate in lemon. The contrast between the red mat and the brilliant yellow glaze of the Jars Tourron dinnerware dazzles. Finish of the place setting with Libeco Vermont linen napkins, which are currently on sale at Didriks (for other sale items at Didriks, go here), the David Mellor Pride Stainless Steel Six-piece Place Setting (minus the tea spoon for this setting), and Simon Pearce Hartland Wine glasses.

The six round place settings arranged around the Equinox Circular Dining Table 59 Inches With Trespa HPL Top, circling the center piece of large yellow and red half-spheres remind me of planetary bodies rotating around suns. A solar system of several suns. Far out.
