Fall Cleanup - Outdoor Furniture

Fall is the perfect time to clean and seal your teak furniture. If you take care of things now, you will be happy in the spring when the outside chore list seem endless! You have two options with outdoor teak furniture, let it age to a soft gray patina or maintain the wood's original deep honey color. If you choose to let your teak outdoor furniture age naturally and develop a gray patina, we recommend keeping the furniture clean with regular use of  Barlow Tyrie Teak Cleaner.  You can help prevent potential staining by applying Barlow Tyrie Teak Stain Guard.  Regular application of the stain guard will make clean ups quick and easy.

If you would like to keep the teak's honey coloring we recommend you use Barlow Tyrie Teak Color Guard.  The color guard needs to be applied to the furniture when it is new or after the application of Barlow Tyrie Teak Cleaner.  The color guard's pigment enhancers and UV protetction will help maintain your furniture’s golden brown color.

If weather in your area is too cold for outdoor furniture use year round, we recommend furniture covers specifically designed for your Barlow Tyrie outdoor furniture. These covers are light-weight and one-way breathable to allow moisture to evaporate from furniture under the cover, yet not permit dirt, dust and the elements to penetrate.
