Kitchen Tables

It seems that kitchen islands and counter height stools have been all the rage for a long time now.  However, lately we've been drawn to kitchens where the good old fashioned table takes center stage. We see photos of these cozy kitchens and we yearn for a comfortable chair, our feet on the ground and family and friends gathered around. Is it possible that a good old fashioned table might usurp the ubiquitous island?  What do you think?
