Weekly Table Setting: Harvest Wheat

Weekly Table Setting: Harvest Wheat

In recent weeks, we've been dressing our store tables with fall themes, to reflect indoors what's happening outdoors. This week is no different, though when designing this particular setting, Alex took extra care to keep bright, warm and inviting colors across the table, without the typical reds and oranges of fall.

As with last week's table setting, we used a prominent centerpiece, this time a cluster of wheat displayed in a Heath Ceramics Multi-Stem Vase in Cool Lava. It gave the table plenty of height, without taking away from the dinnerware.

Flanking the centerpiece, we used two Jars Ceramics Tourron Medium Rectangular Dishes in Samoa, which offered a really rich, earthy green color to the table.

Each setting started with a Chilewich Basketweave Rectangular Placemats in Latte, upon which we stacked a Simon Pearce Woodbury Square Dinner Plate, a Libeco Home Harvest Check Napkin and a Simon Pearce Royalton Baroque Appetizer Plate. The harvest napkin features what I imagine to be the quintessential fall pattern, with muted tones of greens, greys, browns, blues, and a soft rust color. Really fitting for fall!

To add a brighter and more lively color element, we used this Sabre Paris Natura Flatware Turquoise. It was playful and fun, and offered a nice contrast to the other more muted colors.

For the glassware component, we used a simple Schott Zweisel Basic Bar Whiskey DOF and a Simon Pearce Hartland Wine Glass. Lots of different elements at play here, but somehow it just worked!
