Brahms Mount has a new Design Director
Brahms Mount President David Kaufman recently announced that the company has hired a new Design Director. Jane Laug joined the company in February 2012, and has many exciting visions for the future of Brahms Mount. Prior to joining the Brahms Mount team, Jane spent her career dabbling in many areas of design, including designing textiles, home textiles, home furnishings, fashion and jewelery. She even had her own signature line of fashion and jewelery collections from 2002-2007, which were sold in such prestigious stores as Barneys New York, and seen adorning celebrities like Salma Hayak, Brook Shields and Cindy Crawford. Jane has stated, “My goal with the Brahms Mount collection is to build on the clean aesthetic of Claudia Brahms and carry it forward with additional colors, fiber constructions and weave textures. I’m a weaver, machine knitter, and natural dyer so I’m very hands-on with my product development. My current inspirations come mostly from antique textiles, especially rustic French linens and tickings. New on the line this season is our “Feather Stripe” and “Leno Stripe” both of which were influenced by antique linen and lace.
I see opportunities for line expansion in the bedroom and beyond. Brahms Mount has tremendous growth opportunities.”
Brahms Mount is a textile company hailing from Maine, and is a beloved fixture here at Didriks. We sell their blankets, throws and more. We're excited to hear of the addition of Jane Laug to the team, and can't wait to see what she thinks up in the years to come. Welcome, Jane!
