Labor Day Wine & Glassware Picks!
Great entertaining goes hand in hand with great wine, and great wine goes hand in hand with great glassware. We've got wine and glassware picks for those of you who are hosting Labor Day, especially if you're having a cookout, with great options for both red and white.
We can't say enough good things about German brand Schott Zwiesel's Diva Living collection, a variation on their popular Diva silhouette. This has the same generously rounded bowls and the same break and scratch resistant glass formula but a shortened stem for dishwasher friendliness. The chardonnay (15.5 oz) and burgundy (20.7 oz) glasses are excellent, and our favorite picks from the collection. The chardonnay glass is especially versatile, a great all-purpose glass if you're looking for one glass to do it all. Small enough for most whites, and not too small for most reds.
The bold, bright prints and easy-care of Garnier-Thiebaut's coated cotton table linens make them ideal for outdoor dining. We like to pair the boldest prints with simple white tableware like the Pillivuyt Plisse collection shown here for balance and contrast.
For a step up in quality stain-resistant table linens, check out Garnier-Thiebaut's Green Sweet linens, a textile woven with cotton threads that have been coated before weaving with stain repellent. These can be laundered and ironed as usual, and feel soft and luxurious. Linens treated with their Green Sweet technology are peppered throughout their entire collection, so check the fine print when browsing!
