Food For Free Kick-Off Party Recap
Last Thursday, we threw a kick-off party for our annual Food For Free February fundraiser. This is our 6th year holding the month-long campaign, and our 6th annual kick-off party, and we were thrilled at the turnout and show of support for this fantastic community organization.
Food For Free is a non-profit based in Cambridge, MA that rescues food from within our community that would normally go to waste, and redistributes it throughout the emergency food system. They save tons (literally) of food from going to waste each year, and use that same food to feed the needy in Cambridge. A pretty remarkable and commendable mission, I'd say!
Season To Taste Catering, who donated food for this event, was on hand to serve some delectable bites, and FFF Executive Director Sasha Purpura was there to share a few quick comments about the organization.
All around it was a lovely evening, and we thank everyone who came out to show support.
