Weekly Table Setting: Arctic

If our post earlier this week on Cold Weather Cooking was any indication, it's pretty darn cold around here right now. We've got space heaters going to keep us warm, scarves wrapped securely around our necks all day long, and I even spotted Jonathan, the owner of Didriks, sporting a winter hat this morning. I've never witnessed this phenomenon before, so it was a sure sign of the times.  It's downright freezing outside! So this week, we set a chilly table. I like to call it arctic. It's a representation of our outdoor environment, but without the bone-chilling freeze. Alex and I are on the same page on this one... here's what she had to say about this week's table setting:

It's been cold this week, very cold. And when my morning commute entails exposing myself to the elements for 30 minutes, I start to notice that cold.

This week, the chill in my bones has inspired an all white, icy setting. I'd like to imagine a warm soup and a piping hot plate full of meat and potatoes (sweet potatoes for those who know me) atop one of my favorite Alessi collections, All-Time.
