Having a rustic, vibrant table with beautiful and eco-friendly linens is important to me. When I'm hosting a party or intimate dinner, I want to make sure the theme also showcases organic products that are safe for children and adults. This is one reason I always choose to use linen place mats and napkins.
Earlier this week I shared my inspiration for the upcoming 4th of July outdoor dining festivities. I shared some of the ideas I had of using Libeco table runners in gorgeous pinks and chartreuse; giving the day lots of playful colors.
However, the day doesn't stop at table decor since everyone will be hungry for a delicious meal of traditional, all American summer food like grilled grass fed burgers, corn on the cob and rustic potato salad. This means making sure I pick up the freshest, best ingredients in the Cambridge area. One of my favorite places to shop for organic produce is the Cambridge / Charles Square Farmers Market.
This fantastic market is a tradition in our community; featuring excellent vendors with high quality ingredients. It's a large outdoor street market each weekend on Bennett Street. But to make the trip enjoyable and to avoid using disposable plastic bags, I always recommend carrying a durable market bag like the Goya Shouldersac.
It's made from organic Belgian linen by Libeco. It features leather shoulder straps to make carrying a breeze and it's eco-friendly. Linens by Didricks here in Cambridge carries these gorgeous bags that can hold a lot of fresh market produce. It's ideal for strolling the farmers market AND it'll make transporting all the goodies home simple.
The Goya bag is definitely my market bag of choice each week, when visiting our wonderful farmers market. I highly suggest stopping by Didriks to discover this soft and sturdy bag. It's just the right size for any market shopping you need to do and it'll last for years to come. Enjoy shopping for your upcoming event or dinner with the Goya bag!
