If you keep up with the world of textiles, you know linen fabric is as versatile as it gets. It can be used for bedding, tables, clothing, tote bags, and even wall coverings; need we continue? Now, there's another method for using this elegant and timeless fabric - wall art. Plenty of Pinterest pinners are displaying the myriad of ways they use linen to create art. We'd like to highlight two of our favorites here.
Paper wall art: Jessica, at Stayathomeista.com worked on this project to help improve the acoustics in their bare-walled dining room. Using large picture frames, beautiful, hand-made, white paper patterns, and linen fabric, she and her husband created four stunning art pieces for just around $200.
A subtle Union Jack. Tanya, another stay-at-home DIYer, featured her Union Jack DIY Wall Art on her blog. She used a large cork board, purchased at a garage sale, as the "frame." She chose three complementary, neutrally colored fabrics. The lightest one was used to cover the frame, the other two were used to create the Union Jack, and only scissors and hot glue gun were required.
