Unless you're a complete bohemian, most of us tend to over-think our interior designs in order to achieve "The Perfect Room." Accent pillows are the one place where we can let go a bit and be playful. It's a great way to mix and match designs and colors. Best of all, they're also the simplest way to make quick changes in a room since a linen pillow cover can be changed out seasonally or as your tastes evolve. Even though there is a bit of freedom in your choices, there is still an "art" of mixing throw pillows, so we'll let you in on a few secrets that will put the finishing touches on your room designs.

Patterns and solids. Using patterns can be intimidating. How much is too much? That is always a question. By alternating patterns and solids, you don't have to worry about making it too busy for the eyes. It also gives you more freedom in using bold colors or patterns you might have shied away from otherwise.

Mixing patterns. Patterned fabrics can be mixed, but you have to use more discernment. We advise mixing a bold pattern with subtle one. For example, a bold, multi-colored print looks fantastic paired with a more subtle, monochrome pattern.
