Weekly Table Setting: 'Tis the Season

Shiny red, vibrant white, festive pine cones and shimmering glassware - the holidays are upon us! As such, we thought it only fitting to set our tables in the Didriks store to reflect the season. This week's table setting is a cheerful one, set with many items from our gorgeous new Alessi collection, and plenty of festive accents.

The setting started with a Libeco Home Brisbane Linen tablecloth in Red Earth, and Chilewich Metallic Lace Placemats in Gold. The individual settings featured Alessi Mami dinner plates and salad bowls, as well as Alessi Dressed Soup Plates, water tumblers, champagne flutes and red wine glasses. The flatware came from the Alessi Nuovo Milano collection, and we used a 4-piece setting including the dessert fork, table fork, table knife and dessert spoon.

The napkins also came from the Libeco Home Brisbane collection, and we used them in white to keep the table looking nice and crisp. The napkins were held in place with some new Alessi Oui napkin rings, which paired well with the Alessi with the Alessi Nuovo Milano flatware.

Table accents came from Simon Pearce and and iittala - shown below is the Simon Pearce Norwich Chiller, which held a bottle of bubbly.

In the center of the table, our crafty merchandiser Katy stood Schott Zwiesel Cru Classic Burgundy glasses upside down to act as decorative candle holders, and those were accented with iittala Little Tern Red Birds.

To round it out, we used a large  Simon Pearce Revere Bowl filled with red and white ornaments and pine cones to keep with the festive theme. 'Tis the season!
