Last Thursday, we officially launched our February Food For Free Fundraiser with an in-store kick-off party. The event was catered by Season to Taste Catering, and we even had some live music on hand to set the mood. While it was a lot to ask for people to stop by in the midst of blizzard preparations, we were glad to see those that did come out, and proud to kick off this 5th annual event.
Season to Taste served a trio of dips to go along with some Iggy's whole grain bread and homemade crackers: Balsamic Red Pepper, Roasted Garlic and White Bean, and Great Hill Blue Cheese and Toasted Walnut
Small bites included Chicken with Balsamic Caramel Sauce and Heart of Celery on Potato Gaufrette, Spring Vegetable Rolls with Gomashio Wasabi Vinigrette, Roasted Red Potatoes Stuffed with Wild Mushrooms and Chive Creme Friache and Grilled Japanese Eggplant Stuffed with Oven Dried Tomato, Sage and Yogurt. They were all quite delicious!
We also had a selection of wines available.
And live music!
As you can see by the look on Bryce's face, we had a great evening full of food, fun, and general merriment. If you weren't able to join us, please stop in sometime during the month of February and shop, shop, shop! We'll donate 5% of all proceeds earned to Cambridge-based charity Food For Free.
