Grilled Cheese & Chutney. This recipe is delicious using a sourdough bread and your favorite cheese. Simply add a gourmet fruit chutney for a sweet and tangy element. Cut the sandwiches into four pieces and voila! You have the perfect, can't get enough, appetizer.
Bacon Wrapped Apricots with Sage. This is a simple-to-make appetizer, worthy of an upscale restaurant:
- 24 small fresh sage leaves
- 24 dried apricots
- 8 bacon slices, cut into thirds
- 2 Tbsp. real maple syrup
Preheat oven to 375. Lay a sage piece on each apricot and wrap with bacon. Lay seam-down on a baking sheet and bake until bacon is just getting crispy (6-8 minutes). Brush with a little maple syrup. Delish!
Salmon Spread with Horseradish. Delicious on homemade crostini, store-bought crackers and fresh cut vegetables.
- 8 oz. room temperature cream cheese
- 2 Tbsp. prepared horseradish
- 2 Tbsp. fresh dill, chopped
- Salt & pepper
- 1/4 lb. chopped smoked salmon
- Crackers and cut vegetables for serving
Combine everything but the salmon in a serving bowl, and mix to combine. Gently fold in the salmon.
